Celebrating the single parent community

This year, for Single Parents Day, Single Parent Rights is joining 16 organisations across the UK and Ireland to launch a collective campaign under the theme, Single Parent Community.

By joining forces, we aim to amplify our voices, reach more families, raise awareness of available support, and build stronger connections among single parents and the organisations that work to support them.

Who’s involved?

Each of these organisations provides valuable support, resources and/ or advocacy for single parents. Some organisations work in specific regions or parts of the UK, but collectively we cover the UK and Ireland. One Parent Families Scotland - Providing expert advice, practical support and campaigning with single parents in Scotland.  

Single Parents Wellbeing CIC - Peer led and connected to being a single parent household in Wales. 

Single Parent Information Network - Providing information and support to single parents in Sussex. 

Single Parent Support and Advice Services - Helping single parents by giving them access to services and support.

Gingerbread - We're here to fight for single parents and their children.

Fife Gingerbread - We support and empower Fife's lone parents and families in need for better todays and brighter tomorrows. 

BAME Lone Parents Network - Supporting and empowering single parents with advice, support and community programmes. 

Stand Up Fathers - Supporting dads to navigate and improve their co-parenting relationships.  

Frolo - An app to connect, support and empower single parents through community and dating.

Asian Single Parents Network - We provide social, emotional, and practical support to build confidence, prevent isolation, and combat the stigma attached to being a single parent in the South Asian community.

NEESIE - Facilitating prosperity for single mums and women with children. 

Horizon – We provide practical and emotional support and advice for single parents in Staffordshire.

Parenting Focus - Dedicated to supporting families across Northern Ireland through parenting support, practical resources and advocacy.

Dads Rock - We provide the tools dads and families need to give their children the best possible start in life. 

One Family Ireland - We provide services for people parenting alone, sharing parenting, or going through separation. 

Fathers Network Scotland - Improving children's lives and outcomes through the positive involvement of dads, father-figures and whole families.

How you can get involved in our #SingleParentCommunity campaign

• Follow our socials and keep an eye on the hashtags, #SingleParentsDay and #SingleParentCommunity on the day so you can join the conversation and help raise the profile of single parents and the support available both nationally and in your local area

• Share your own stories, thoughts, photos, and experiences, remembering to tag us, or drop us an email with stories you want us to share through our media and lobbying work to singleparentrights@gmail.com

• Join the campaign for #SingleParentRights and help to ensure single parent families are treated equally, you can write to your MP here

• Download our single parents day image here and tag us in your posts for #SingleParentsDay with the hashtag #SingleParentCommunity

• Offline you can let a single parent know how much you value them. Maybe give them a gift, spend time with them, or help them out with something they would appreciate.
